The meeting was lucky to take place and run the full 15 heats with rain most of the day, even a heavy shower at 5 O'clock and a heavy down poor just seconds after the final race. Although a lot of water about, it made for a good race track as this was shown in heat 1 when Lewis Bridger smashed the track record winning in 52.2 seconds. Throughout the meeting it was clear to see a good dirt line around the outside which has been missing in previous weeks. Lee had a decent night scoring 11 from 5 rides facing Elite League rider Bridger in three of his races. A Highlight of the meeting was in heat 15 when Lee made the start and was leading going into the 3rd bend when the "Tenacious Tom Brown" swooped around the outside of Lee, leaving him for dead out of the 4th turn. On the last lap Bridger then went for a hard move on Lee on the 3rd bend and took his line away causing him to fall. The Referee excluded Bridger as the cause of the stoppage and awarded the Heat a 3-2 to the Exeter select as K Mason had already retired giving the Victory to the Wildcats with the score 45-44.
