Smart Rewarded with Place at Premier League Potters

HEATHENS skipper Lee Smart has been rewarded for his impressive early season form by winning a Premier League deal with Stoke.

Smart, who has established himself as a firm favourite with Dudley fans, has also stated his desire to stay racing for the old Cradley club.

Heathens boss Will Pottinger said: "Lee said from the outset that he wanted a Premier League spot and we're thrilled for him.

"When he was in talks with Stoke he was very quick to say to me that he wants to stay with us and, as it stands, he will only miss one of our meetings because of a fixture clash. We can use a guest on that occasion."

Not long to go

As the season nears Lee is still without a team in either the Premier or National Leagues. Lee is still on the hunt for a team but is also looking ahead at more grass track meetings this season which will please some fans greatly.

Lee has been sharpening his riding skills over the last few months on a motocross bike in preparation for the 2010 season as he wants to be fitter than ever this year to continue his progress up the ladder.
